LGBT ally Kesha has officiated her 3rd same-sex marriage. The pop star performed the wedding ceremony for lesbian couple Lindsay and Dani on March 26, the anniversary of the first same-sex wedding licenses being issued in the United States.

The ceremony took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and footage from the day and emotional interviews with the brides feature in the music video for Kesha’s new single, I Need A Woman To Love.

The single is one of 6 songs on the new compilation EP Universal Love, which features six iconic love songs that have been reimagined for an LGBT audience. The songs now have pronouns that reflect LGBTQ relationships.

Bob Dylan has reworked “She’s Funny That Way” as “He’s Funny That Way,” Kesha recorded “I Need a Woman to Love,” St. Vincent contributed “And Then She Kissed Me”, Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie sings “And I Love Him”, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party performs “My Guy”, and Valerie June adds her soulful voice to “Mad About The Girl.”

"Dylan obviously brought this incredible, iconic personal history of being at the forefront of social and musical change," album executive producer Tom Murphy told Rolling Stone. "St. Vincent brought her track record of artistic boundary-pushing.”

“Kele brought a beautiful and powerful sincerity to his song. Kesha brought her voice of individualism and perseverance. Benjamin Gibbard's melodicism made his reworking of the Beatles effortless and poignant. And there is a timelessness to Valerie June's voice that made the added lyrical twist all the more powerful."

MGM Resorts envisioned the ground-breaking album as part of their commitment to inclusion and diversity. The company had been hosting same-sex commitment ceremonies for more than 10 years before marriage equality came to the United States.

Universal Love is now available on all streaming services.
