Friday August 25th is the seventh annual #WearItPurple Day – a day with a simple message for young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer people – YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE. Sexual or gender identity does not change this.
“Every young person is unique, important and worthy of love. No one should be subject to bullying, belittlement and invalidation,” says the Wear It Purple team.
“We believe in a world in which every young person can thrive, irrelevant of sex, sexuality or gender identity.”
So let’s show our rainbow young people that they’re loved at this plebishitty marriage equality postal survey time and celebrate all the support they’re receiving from organisations and individuals around the country.
Head to the Wear It Purple Day website for more details.
